Lovely Old Hand Soldered Brass DodecahedronThe seller I purchased this from thought it may have been made as a practice or test piece by a metalworker long ago, which seems plausible to me; it was clearly made from one piece of brass, with a wonderfully imperfect seam where the edges were soldered together. (It is hollow inside.) Whatever the case, certainly it was done by hand and I believe has quite a bit of age to. To me it is satisfying in the way that antique geometric solid blocks are,
